Peace, and welcome to the online home of Buffalo NY-based recording label DTR45/DeepThinka Records.

DTR45 is an independent record label consisting of talented emcees and producers aimed at preserving both the music and the culture of hip-hop, which are by nature inseparable.

With the record industry being in a constant state of flux, we believe that evolving with the industry is the only way of staying ahead of it.

Over the years DTR45 has dedicated itself to expressive artistic revolution, classic wordplay, skillful and innovative hip hop, industry revolt and reform, political/social development, and mental awareness and consciousness. We strive to be the vanguard hip hop label, and have been fortunate enough to stay ahead of the curve for 10 years now.

Founded in 1997, DTR45's main objective from day one has been to differentiate itself among the overabundance of indie-labels by redefining what a hip hop record label is and can be. This redefinition effort is made possible in part by providing an environment conducive to artistic expression, minus industry politics. DeepThinka aims to bring the artist and their sound to the forefront, placing emphasis on the music and genuine cultural powerhouse that is hip hop, rather than the typical business as usual mentality prevalent in today's market. At the same time, our staff strives to provide the artist with a well rounded background of the overall function and operation of the our label and the industry itself, thus the artist is truly involved in the label process and the label is truly deciated to the artist's music, helping to avoid the typical artist/label conflicts over marketing, budgeting, touring, or what have you. The absence of such friction truly empowers everyone at DTR to pursue their passion with great pride and principle.

Now in our second decade of operation, DTR45 continues to represent the values of the independently owned small business, as well as those of the cultural movement widely known as hip hop. By creatively producing innovative musical releases and events, organizing and mobilizing our community, and working to develop our business partnerships; we have enjoyed a prosperous decade of business in a not so prosperous economic environment. Through our 'DTRmy' programs and Rebel Radio compilation series, we've continually reinvented our revolutionary marketing strategies and organizational culture, ensuring continued progress for another 10 years.
